SUNDAY 15TH MARCH
St. Patricks Parade
MANCHESTER IRISH FESTIVAL
Manchester's St. Patrick's Parade will be held on Sunday 15th March 2020.
The Irish World Heritage Centre held their first St Patrick’s Day Parade on the 17th March 1990 when the members paraded to St Chad’s Church and attended a Mass celebrated by Fr. McGarry before returning to the Centre. The Longford Association were the first to display a parade banner of their county. Now all 32 counties are displayed throughout the parade.
Over the years we have had members of the Irish Government walk with us, including the Taoiseach of Ireland Bertie Aherne, and Ministers, Brendan Smith and John O’Donaghue.
Tens of thousands of people turn out to line the route of the parade to revel in the party atmosphere and join in the celebrations.
Register below if you wish to participate in the 2020 parade. Applications must be filled out before Saturday 7th March 2020.
